Abdul Ghani Mir, the Inspector General of North Eastern Frontier Headquarters for the Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), met with Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt General KT Parnaik (Retd) at Raj Bhavan in Itanagar on Tuesday to discuss security arrangements in the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
According to reports, Governor Parnaik shared his experiences as a former North Command Indian Army commander and stressed the importance of securing India’s borders while integrating with the local population. He advised the IG, ITBP to keep his troops motivated and alert, while fostering good relations with the Army, Civil Administration and population to create a harmonious atmosphere.
The Governor also enquired about the welfare of ITBP personnel stationed in remote posts in Arunachal Pradesh and complimented Mir on his leadership, wishing him a successful tenure in the state.
