Manipur Chief Minister Biren Singh stepped forward to address the prevailing conjectures surrounding his political fate. Taking to Twitter on Friday, Singh firmly declared, “At this critical juncture, I wish to clarify that I will not be resigning from the post of Chief Minister.”
Singh’s statement comes amidst reports suggesting that his resignation letter had been made public by Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba and a group of BJP MLAs.
Reports suggest the incident took place outside the Chief Minister’s official residence in Imphal, where a large crowd had gathered to block his convoy when he was on the way to meet the Governor at the Raj Bhawan.
At this crucial juncture, I wish to clarify that I will not be resigning from the post of Chief Minister.
