Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has unveiled development initiative as the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) grants approval for approximately 1,022 kilometres of roads under the Vibrant Villages Programme (VVP) on Tuesday.

The VVP, designed to foster holistic progress, targets specific villages across 46 blocks in 19 districts, emphasizing livelihood enhancement, tourism, cultural heritage preservation, skill development, entrepreneurship, and cooperative society advancement.

Commending Prime Minister Narendra Modi for redefining the narrative of border villages, Chief Minister Khandu pointed to the remarkable transformation of Gelling, shifting from the ‘last village’ to the ‘first village’ on the Indian side in the Tuting sub-division.

In a significant move, CM Khandu launched pivotal projects in Yingkiong on Tuesday under the Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, signaling a proactive approach towards border development.
